A short weekend exploring Guangzhou in China, but it was really cool seeing how the traditional architecture was surrounded by modern buildings and neon signs etc.
Aesthetic Cycle
A spur of the moment shot cos I saw these bikes with great lighting. Also, cycling around the streets of GZ is no joke we did it at night and the bell means nothing honestly, still so fun though

Da Fo Temple
Love the detailing on this temple in GZ, and it was right in the middle of a busy modern street as well. It looks so majestic with the red and gold colours
Glow-fi Stream
Get it? Cos it's glowing... and it's a stream... and it's got a chill aesthetic... like lo-fi... Anyways, I absolutely love how much contrast there is in this photo and how the frame turned out. So cool.
Hocus Focus
With this photo, my initial aim was to manually focus on the boatman, but I kept ending up with the tree and flowers in focus. I quite like how it turned out though, a "happy little accident" (thanks Bob Ross).
Lights All Around
I love how the blues and reds stand out so clearly and it just captures this lady in the moment. I think that's what drives me to take photos - it's ones like this where I can just capture the moment and it reminds me of the word "sonder"
Red Lattice Lego
This temple in Guangzhou was surrounded by modern buildings, but I love how much the colours still popped out on this super sunny day. Unreal architecture. Chamber of Reflection - Mac DeMarco, that's all I'm saying.
River Reflections by Day
People were waiting in line to take a picture on this bridge, and I can see why. The river reflection looks like a painting, and I love how the different trees and plants help to frame the bridge and the lady in the centre, while still creating a sense of depth.
Vintage Neon Vibe
Love the contrast between the modern neon sign against the old buildings. I remember seeing this as we were exploring and it caught my eye straightaway.
