A Postcard from Annecy
June 2025Lake Annecy on a perfect summer's day. Love how finely the colours pop out, how the boats contrast the clear water, and how the boat umbrellas line up with the lake. It just looks stunningly unreal (not to hype myself up too much).
Cannes Main Character
June 2025Shot in Cannes, France, where this guy was definitely not a paid actor to stand at such a great location. But maybe the bird was.
Glow-fi Stream
Dec 2025Get it? Cos it's glowing... and it's a stream... and it's got a chill aesthetic... like lo-fi... Anyways, I absolutely love how much contrast there is in this photo. And everything just seems sort of perfect you know? Like the reflection, the glow, the half-shadowed umbrella, the white mist(?) between the bridge and the reflection... I think this is definitely up there in my top 10 shots of the year.
Glow in the Green
June 2025Love how the umbrella stands out from the surrounding greenery, but even the green aspects glow, love it.
Hocus Focus
Dec 2025With this photo, my initial aim was to manually focus on the boatman, but I kept ending up with the tree and flowers in focus. I quite like how it turned out though, a "happy little accident" (thanks Bob Ross).
Hong Kong Drift
Nov 2025Tried my first motion blur shot and it came out pretty well I think, love how the red pops out and it's still kind of in focus.
Neon Squared
Dec 2025Hong Kong is known for its iconic neon signs, and I love how well the reflection of this neon sign comes out.
Red Lattice Lego
Dec 2025This temple in Guangzhou was surrounded by modern buildings, but I love how much the colours still popped out on this super sunny day. Unreal architecture. Chamber of Reflection - Mac DeMarco, that's all I'm saying.
River Reflections by Day
Dec 2025People were waiting in line to take a picture on this bridge, and I can see why. The river reflection looks like a painting, and I love how the different trees and plants help to frame the bridge and the lady in the centre, while still creating a sense of depth. Pretty neat.
The Guardian of the Ship
Nov 2025This security guard was standing perfectly in line with the red and yellow lines. I remember running to the front to beat the passenger crowd to capture this through the gates. He was the perfect character in frame.
