I got to explore lots of different shooting styles in Hong Kong across the three months I was there, and it was great taking my camera everywhere (even on long hikes) and capturing things in the moment.
Fly Too Close to the Moon
The way the plane lines up right in the middle under the moon??? Nah, this is so sick. Timing couldn't have been better honestly
Hong Kong Drift
Tried my first motion blur shot and it came out pretty well I think, love how the red pops out and it's still kind of in focus.
Hong Kong's Balamory
Ma Wan was literally the Balamory of Hong Kong, it was so cool. Love the bright vibe of this shot and how the people match with the bright walls.
Hop on the Blue Boat
One of my favourite shots from the Tai O fishing village. It really captured the old-ish vibe of the village (most of the buildings were on stilts), and I love the soft colours.
Is it a Bird?
It's so simple but it's so nice how soft the colours are, that's all you really need to work out what's happening tbh
Neon Squared
Hong Kong is known for its iconic neon signs, and I love how well the reflection of this neon sign comes out.
Out & About in HK
Man I miss the street food in Hong Kong, it was so cheap. Like unbelievably cheap for how good it was. Love the orange vibe of this photo and how the colours pop out.
Overhead Taxi
Was walking along this bridge and it seemed like a good vantage point to capture the depth of the road, and I wanted to capture an iconic HK taxi driving past
San Francisco? No. Hong Kong.
The San Francisco of the East. Really like how grand the bridge looks and how softly the red comes out.
Silhouette at Sunset
The glow on this is insane. The silhouette pops out so well and the shadow looks so cool the way it leads all the way to the bottom of the frame.
The Dragon Pillar
Love how majestic this temple looks with all the colours popping out, especially with all the details on the pillar and roof.
The Guardian of the Ship
This security guard was standing perfectly in line with the red and yellow lines. I remember running to the front to beat the passenger crowd to capture this through the gates. He was the perfect character in frame.
The Ship Left at Sea
A very grey, gloomy new years day, but I really like how that vibe is captured in this shot, like how the colours aren't too bright and how it looks really cinematic.
Two Passing Boats
Another shot with the nice evening glow in this fishing village, I like the really subtle boat reflections in the water.
Vibes from the Upside Down
I kid you not, the sky was genuinely this red at sunset. And I love how the lady was wearing red too. I snuck this photo from the other side of a fence which makes a great foreground frame.

Love the reflection of the pole and the silhouette of the bird, and the reddish/blue alternates in the water. Water reflections always make the colours look cool with different textures fr
